Community Guidelines

Debate the claim. Respect the person.

The Ledger is the Forgotten Fortunes community for financial history and historical debate. Contributions are public. Use English so the discussion stays accessible to an international audience.

Make the evidence visible

Link to primary documents, scholarly work or reputable historical sources. Separate established facts, interpretations and uncertainty. Quote only the passage needed and credit its author. Explain what your source does and does not establish.

Disagree constructively

No harassment, hate, threats, doxxing, impersonation, spam or fabricated evidence. No promotional investment schemes or personalized investment advice. Do not post private information or copyrighted material you do not have permission to share.

Moderation

New members and their first three contributions require review. Moderators may edit, hide or remove rule-breaking content and restrict accounts. Use Report on an entry to flag a concern; do not retaliate. Editorial starter discussions are explicitly labelled and are not independent member endorsements.
